More Revised and updated with the latest scientific research and updated case studies, the business classic that offers a revealing look at psychopaths in the workplace—how to spot their destructive behavior and stop them from creating chaos in the modern corporate organization. Over the past decade, Snakes in Suits has become the definitive book on how to discover and defend yourself against psychopaths in the office. Paul Babiak and Dr. Hare return with a revised and updated edition of their essential guide. All of us at some point have—or will—come into contact with psychopathic individuals.

The danger they present may not be readily apparent because of their ability to charm, deceive, and manipulate. Although not necessarily criminal, their self-serving nature frequently is destructive to the organizations that employ them.

So how can we protect ourselves and our organizations in a business climate that offers the perfect conditions for psychopaths to thrive? In Snakes in Suits, Hare, an expert on the scientific study of psychopathy, and Babiak, an industrial and organizational psychologist and a leading authority on the corporate psychopath, examine the role of psychopaths in modern corporations and provide the tools employers can use to avoid and deal with them. Together, they have developed the B-Scan 360, a research tool designed specifically for business professionals. Babiak and Dr. Hare reveal the secret lives of psychopaths, explain the ways in which they manipulate and deceive, and help you to see through their games. The rapid pace of today’s corporate environment provides the perfect breeding ground for these 'snakes in suits' and this newly revised and updated classic gives you the insight, information, and power to protect yourself and your company before it’s too late.

Spent a few days at the DBC with wife and 2 young children. This resort was quite good except for the 'large black snake' I discovered in the changing rooms by stormalong bay. I immediately Informed nearby staff of this and was told that they would tend to it. I was however shocked to find that no real attempt at all by staff was made to shut the changing room facility until the snake was removed. The resort is very close to Epcot and MGM but found the general attitude of some staff to be 'it's not my problem' - not much disney magic here! Maid service was hit and miss and had to phone to complain when the room wasn't cleaned by 9pm after our return from the parks.

This was resolved the following day with no other major problems thereafter. We have stayed at both AKL and Wilderness Lodge many times in the past and both of those resorts to have a much higher level of service and disney magic one would expect from any delux resort. There was total lack of decent quick bite restaurants on site however, with Epcot nearby it should create too much of a problem for guests who are happy to eat off site. The main advantage of staying at the DBC is its close proximity to Epcot and MGM otherwise, I feel there are many other delux resorts such as Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge ( our favourate ) where you can get much more for your money with a much better quality of service and on-site facilities.

Finally on a more positive note the stormalong bay pool area is very large and good fun though very crowded most of the time. Our family stayed the the Beach Club Resort for 6 nights in the last week of October.

This was our first trip to Disney World with our kids. What a beautiful Resort-much more luxurius in person than what you see online! Our room was very clean and spacious-the hotel staff were always helpful and friendly. The Resort has several restaurants-including the character breakfast at the Cape May Cafe-which my 3 kids loved! Goofy, Minnie, Chip/Dale all came over, sat down & took pictures-signed autograph books. The Beach Club Marketplace has the best bran muffins you have ever tasted!

They also have egg sandwiches & fruit-yogurt parfaits which were yummy. The coffee-not so great! But this was the case thoughout all of the restaurants & resorts in Disney World that we ate. They all must use the same brand of coffee or maybe it's the water in Florida, either way it's horrible.

If you love your coffee everyday, pay a little extra for a cappucino or latte. Can't say enough about the sandy bottom pool thoughout the Resort! It is relaxing for adults and fun for kids-the temperature of the pool was perfect and my 8 yr. Old daughter said the water slide was 'so awesome'.

If there wasn't so much to see and do at Disney, we would have never left the resort (we relaxed for 2 days/nights at the pool!) The location is great. There is a walkway that leads to Epcot or take the friendship boat for a 10-15 minute ride to Epcot or MGM.

I would definitely recommend the Disney Dining plan-it was well worth it and included gratuities for all meals, no fumbling through my pocketbook for tip money, which was convenient-we even used it toward lunch in Cinderella's Castle-which was magical! Got pictures-autographs with all of the princesses.

My kids are already talking about going back to Disney World and we will definitely be staying at the Beach Club Resort!!!! My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon this November. We arrived by the Disney bus transportation from the airport, limo would have been better, as you wouldn't make stops before your destination but the bus wasn't bad at all. It actually gave us a chance to check out the other hotels. When we arrived someone actually greeted us outside before we even made it in! She greeted us by our name and mentioned that she had a surprise for us.

We were very excited. Well, they upgraded our room for free because we were on our honeymoon! We were now on the club level, which by the way is great and well worth the extra money, it included a huge room with double balconies and the club room that has food and snacks all day. They even had complimentary wine and beer in the evening with appetizers, hot appetizers!! The hotel is very nice, their beach is really nice too. But no swimming allowed. This doesn't matter much due to the fact they have a great pool.

They also have a great pirate ship with a water slide for the kids, very cute. Staff was very nice throughout our entire stay, very helpful with dinner reservations.

If you need dinner reservations, I highly recommend booking well in advance, if not, have the concierge do it for you. They have special privileges and I believe the restaurants hold some spots for them. We highly recommend the Yachtmand Steakhouse. Bottom line, we would definately stay there again.

Like I have always said, 'No one quite does it the same as Disney'. You could probably pay less at a non-disney resort, but if you want an experience to remember, stay at a Disney resort it really makes a difference, especially if you have kids. I forgot to mention all the activities they had in the lobby everyday for the kids. We'll definately be back hopefully next year. I stayed at this hotel with my husband and 2 daughters aged 10 and 8 this August. On arrival at the magical Express desk in Orlando, we were given a free limousine transfer to the hotel as part of Disney's year of a million dreams. Really special, the girls loved it!

When we arrived at the hotel, we were given a fanfare and our room was upgraded to the concierge level on the 5th floor. This was just great. It had staff available just for you to book excursions, table reservations or do just about anything for you. This also entilted you to free breakfast, and snacks all day long til 10pm. The rooms were gorgeous and the staff could not do enough for you. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to Epcot and close to all of the other parks.

I have stayed in Disney before and this was far better then other properties I have stayed in. I would definitely recommend it and would go back there myself. If you're going, then lucky you, it will be wonderful. We like to halve trips between 2 resorts - it's a fun way to break up a week, cram in some relaxing and experience new little corners of the 'World. The Beach Club is light and airy with great restaurants, an awesome pool and is a hop/skip/jump to Epcot. That's why we love it. On our first trip in March 04 we stayed at the Beach Club and loved it so much we stayed there again for 1/2 our Aug 2007 trip.

We stayed at the Polynesian for the second 1/2 of our 2007 trip, separate review. Splitting the vacation in 2 like this is becoming increasingly popular, according to the fella who helped me book the trip.

However, doing so compunds an already ardous planning process, but it's well worth it. You really need a good Disney operator on the line to assist you, some operators are better at their jobs than others, if you get a surly one, call back. I had the pleasure of Russel giving it his best effort - he was outstanding!

The Deluxe resorts all have specific pros, proximity to parks in particular is key - the Beach Club is a short walk from the 'back door' to Epcot brings you in right around England. The BC is connected to the Yacht Club and these 2 hotels share Stormalong Bay - the most fabulous pool complex. I like the whole vibe of the Beach Club more than the YC, can't really articulate why, they are almost the same, but BC seems more dynamic. BC - again, very close to Epcot, and an easy, restful quick 10 min ferry ride to MGM, bus to MK - manageable but can be a drag at night with little ones fatigued from all the fun. If you have little-little kids and plan to focus on MK, the BC might not be the best option in terms of proximity to the park if you are planning long hours there, see Polynsesian review but if you don't mind a little shlepping, the Beach Club is beautiful and offers tons of fun in and of itself.

Plan to spend time just enjoying the resort on its own, i.e., non-park days. Epcot is so awesome, I could spend a week there, easily, but truthfully, not as much fun for little kids as MK, and is 10x more walking. Pool: gorgeous, huge, fun and relaxing, only for hotel guests. There is one v large waterslide and a small one for little kids that empties into its own pool, 2 huge spas, plus 'sandy' bottom/beach, lazy river and, when we were there last time, a volleyball net where anyone who wanted to got into a serious game of pool volleyball with a 3 ft-diameter beach ball.

There is also a quiet pool somewhere, but we never tried to find it because Stormalong Bay is such fun. One caveat, when we were there, the pool chemistry-irritant level was high, may have something to do with the 'sand' and the challenges faced to keep it clean; the pool is on the chemical-heavy side - if your kids will be in there for a while, goggles are a must, and if you prize a particular bathing suit, maybe opt for a back-up. The pool is awesome, give it at least a day - if you don't get into the pool and experience the waterslide, you will miss out and regret it. Resort: very clean, crisp and fresh- they seem to be continually refreshing here unobtrusive carpet cleaning and painting going on, both visits, darling Disney-nautical theme. It's a fairly casual vibe, not at all uncommon to see people in the lobby in their pool gear en route to the fun outside; a friend told me of ladies at the G Floridian pool in Chanel ballet flats, shi-shi pool ensembles and don't-take-my-picture large brimmed hats. Nothing like that at BC, not stuffy at all. We had standard rooms both times, last time = an end unit much larger but at the standard prix, just a bit more walk to the elevator w/ 2 doubles plus roll-away.

We also brought an aerobed because, though I do love this place, if you aren't well-rested, the appurtenant travails of WDW will drive you over the edge and you will see flashes of yourself rattling the gates of Wally World. Bring an aerobed, they are happy to provide blankets/sheets. Staff was excellent, friendly and very accomodating, always there to help when asked and prompt, full of personality, etc. There were walk-up wash cloth/towel animal making sessions in the lobby for the kids, very cute.

Great store/mini cafe in the hotel. We had our kids' portrait done by the resident pastel artist - she does great work and prefers to work from photo, handy so you need not waste precious Disney time being idle. Not to be too cheesy, but night-time at the BC was also great, such fun to fill you with warm happy memories. After sunset the hotel held campfires with s'mores on the beach lake beach, not pool beach - they are right next to each other, however and movies under the stars -projected on a huge movie sceen on the beach with loungechairs arranged in front, complete with popcorn; highly recommend! The arcade was quite large and very crowded, really good blacklight airhockey.if you must, go at an off hour, like in the a.m., when the soda shop is not packed. Speaking of the soda shop - Beach Club / Yacht Club Dining: this last time we were on the dining plan, which should really be called the eat-til-you-explode plan. It is so much food, there is no humanly possible way to consume all that it includes, but we would do it again for convenience's sake and for ease in planning.

There are several restaurants between the Beach Club and adjacent Yacht Club. The store/cafe in the BC has more than adequate counter service options and lots of snacks / minimarket. The soda shop is super cute, esp for kids who have not experienced an authentic version - the potential flavor combos of old-fashioned sodas enthralled our kids- chocolate coke, the best of all possible worlds!

Good sandwiches, fun atmosphere, but go for early lunch. The soda shop was so crowded at dinner time that it should be avoided. It's physically a small space, very popular, and those waiting head to the arcade next door- the attendant bells, whistles, noise, fullness from overeating because of the dining plan and chocolate coke-buzzed children meld into an aura from hell that is totally overwhelming, could easily sour your experience or give you a migraine. The Yachtsman Steakhouse was simply excellent. It has a quiet, elegant yachtclub / countryclub type atmosphere and the restaurant overlooks the pool. We had a fantastic dinner there with the kids, but this place would also work for grownups-only.

There are a couple of other lovely restaurants in these 2 hotels, one with character breakfast, but we got our character meal fix elsewhere - can find under separate review. In all, the fact that there are so many hotel options at WDW and that we went back a second time and plan to return to the BC again next time for 1/2 the trip mean that this place is great!!!

I just wanted to let anyone know who may be on the fence about this resort to go ahead and book it. Keeping in mind that any 5star hotel in Disney isn't equivalent to 5 stars in other places. Our last 2 trips were cruises, so housekeeping and food didn't hold a candle to our cruise experiences. That being said, the room was very nice, beds/pillows were extremely comfortable, pool was awesome and if you have little ones or people who don't swim well, you don't have to worry, b/c the lifeguards practically stalk you! They are very diligent! Housekeeping was lacking until the 3rd day, when we finally established a time to have our room made up (it seemed we kept missing them, b/c at times during the 1st few days, we had the 'do no disturb' sign out.

When we finally set it up to have the room done at 10, since we knew that we'd be out for a while by then, she kept coming around 8:30/9 when we were still getting ready. It was a bit annoying.but that's really the only complaint. The counter service food offerred is only fair.

However, we toured many of the resorts that we were considering, and we concluded that if we went back, we'd stay at the Beach Club again in a heartbeat. We liked the resort itself and the location can't be beat. Enjoyable walk to Epcot and any other place that we had to take a bus to was very easy and convenient. It seemed that as soon as we got out to the spot to be picked up, the bus came 80% of the time. The longest we ever waited was 10 (if that) Buses are very efficient! Did not care for monorail transportation, so it's a good thing we didn't stay at a resort near Magic Kingdom. We are frequent Disney guests - we've stayed on-premisis at Port Orleans, Contemporary, Polynesian - and wanted to try one of the more up-scale hotels.

For location, this is one of the best - literally a ten-minute walk (if you are so inclined) to either Epcot or MGM - with frequent bus and ferry service to all other locales. The pool, or should I say the series of pools, is amazing, including a shallow sand-bottomed pool for youngsters and for volleyball players; a whirlpool; a raft pool; and a giant water slide. The lobby is lovely as well.

We booked the concierge floor - and that was our only disappointment. The magnetic key access to the floor frequently did not work; the maid service was spotty (no turn-down service the first two days; the room wasn't cleaned until after 4pm on another); we were given a handicapped accessible room without being told in advance, which meant no bathtub, only a shower and the automatic door (for wheelchair accessibility) took about 5 minutes to close everytime we would go in or out of the room. Also, the walls were awfully thin - we had neighbors with VERY loud children who were awake by 7am! Now, of course we know that Disney is family-friendly, but for the additional price of 'deluxe concierge service' all of these minor details added up to minor disappointments. I didn't consider this hotel to be on par with either the Contemporary or the Polynesian, both of which I would recommend over this.
